POSITION:       Program Coordinator, Education, Training and Job Readiness

SALARY:         Commensurate with experience.

STATUS:          Non-exempt, Part-time

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a nongovernmental, not-for-profit national organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants, is seeking Program Coordinator for Education, Training, and Job Readiness.

The Program Coordinator’s responsibilities include coordination of educational, training opportunities that support job readiness for refugees to obtain and maintain employment. The Program Coordinator will coordinate as well as provide direct services that support refugee self-sufficiency.


  • Conduct outreach with the refugee community, and assist clients in developing a plan for vocational training and learning opportunities;
  • Develop, plan and coordinate training, classes, and workshops related to job training and career opportunities;
  • Work with community college and job developers to make available training opportunities that will enhance refugee employability;
  • Coordinate GAP ESL, vocational training classes, and pre-employment activities;
  • Coordinate community events that support refugee vocational training and employment opportunities; and
  • Maintain a caseload providing direct services for employment and employment case management.


Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experiences and two years’ work experience in an administrative or educational capacity. A successful candidate is highly organized and efficient, computer literate, flexible and has excellent coordination skills. Detail oriented and training and or facilitation experience a plus.


  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
