JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION:   Sales Representative

SALARY:      Commensurate with experience

STATUS:      Part-time, Non-exempt

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants seeks a Sales Representative to develop the interpreting and translation services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales Representative will develop and provide support for the program. The Sales Representative will:
• Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on or visit existing or potential customers;
• Identify marketing opportunities by distilling consumer requirements; define market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses;
• Record sales and order information in the online database, ensuring interpreters are assigned to all appointments, and liaising with the finance department to streamline invoicing; and
• Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly analyses.

The position will report to the Field Office Director and Senior Program Officer, Interpreting Services.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree and experience in sales and marketing;
• Proven ability to increase sales;
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities;
• Strong computer skills; database management, a plus; and
• Excellent organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity; and
• Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
