Through a wide range of direct and collaborative programs, USCRI NC helps refugees to successfully adapt to life in the United States. USCRI NC provides refugees with their first home in the United States and helps them to obtain their first job. We offer short-term intensive services with the goal of helping refugees achieve self-sufficiency. We also provide longer-term programs to ensure that refugees acculturate to their new communities. Our programs serve the local community, as well, by providing opportunities to better understand foreign cultures and, by doing so, to more fully participate as citizens of our diverse local region, the global economy, and our interconnected world.
Refugees are hard-working and resilient employees. USCRI NC provides comprehensive employment placement and retention services to employers. Our Employment Department evaluates refugees’ skills and matches them with local employers.
