Workshops and Trainings for Refugees & Immigrants
USCRI Detroit helps refugees and immigrants to gain personal independence and economic self-sufficiency. We host trainings and workshops that assist refugees and immigrants in becoming full participants in all aspects of American life. These workshops encourage discussion and open communication. We invite refugees and immigrants to attend these workshops, which are taught by former clients, USCRI Detroit staff, volunteers, and service providers. Check below for a list of current workshops:
Matching Grant Employment Workshop
The Matching Grant Employment workshop is designed to prepare
refugees to enter the U.S. workforce. Class is exclusively for USCRI
Detroit resettled refugees enrolled in the Matching Grant program.
Topics include:
- American work culture/values
- Employment plan/goals
- Job search skills
- Applications/resumes
