USCRI DETROIT KICKS OFF THE WORLD REFUGEE DAY PROJECT

Upcoming event: Back to School with Backpacks

Starting off the school year with the right tools is critical to children's success.

This year, USCRI Detroit will be holding a backpack drive to help refugee children in our community. We want our kids to be ready to fully participate this school year.

You can ensure that each and every refugee child in our community is prepared to go to school on September 3 by donating much-needed supplies.

List of Needed Supplies:

Backpacks*  Pencils Pens Notebooks
Colored Markers Rulers Paper Crayons
Folders Glue   Scissors Erasers

Drop-off locations:

  • University of Michigan—4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48128, University Center, in-front of room 1290
  • Esper Branch Library—12929 W Warren Avenue, Dearborn, MI 48126, Next to the information desk
  • East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority—13750 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, MI 48126
  • Better Health Store—42875 Grand River Avenue, Novi, MI 48375
